BPT Season #2: Aussie Millions

PureChaos pulled off a maniac miracle and won the trip to Austrailia and the $10K seat in the Aussie Millions. He has taken alot of heat the last two seasons because of his all or nothing style of play but on his blog he makes a valid defense. I only wish him the best in the Aussie Millions however having played against him before I can only predict an early out.

  1. TY, I do find it interesting that ppl think I am allin so often. The fact is I rarely put all of my chips at risk, and constantly put my opponents in situations where they have to make a decision on their tournament life.

I assure you I will play the AM differently than an online turbo. Poker is about exploiting edges, and adapting to situations.

One edge I have exploited in the BPT was my “lagtard” image. ?This paid off well by looking at some of the rediculous calls people made. How about criticizing the player who CALLED off all of their chips with A6o?

I would liken the AM to a MTT on UB, a slow blind structure, where you can afford to play a more methodical game.

Unfortunately, I would liken the BPT to a turbo sitngo. You cant afford to let ppl draw out on you, if they are going to draw they need to pay. Add to the equation its a freeroll, the players are going to try and draw often.

I have never met a weak/tight player who consistently (or ever) WINS MTTs.

Perhaps you have heard of “M”, the relation of your stack to blinds and antes. Are you willing to allow a person with an M of <5 see 5 cards for free, and then fold if they miss? Thats is foolish.

Trust me, I have studied the game, played many different formats, and won numerous tournaments. I have done well playing live, and won a $109, and $55 MTT on UB. I have satellited into WSOP circuit events, played with pros, and been stacked in $550 MTTs.

I am not saying all of this to brag, rather to illustrate that things are not always what they seem.

Honestly, I am very optimistic about my prospects at AM. I am not nervous at all about playing, just a little nervous about flying the 30hrs to get there.

If you are interested in improving your game, I recomend signing up for a training site and see how real winners play.

I recomend pokerxfactor.com for MTT game improvement, and cardrunners.com for cash games. I have been a member of both sites for a long time.
