For the first time in my online poker career I earned enough points to reach the SILVERSTAR VIP status at PokerStars today. What does that mean?
Well I can get stuff from the store faster because I will earn player points 50% faster and use my tourney bucks for live buy ins if I chose. I can also play in the big freerolls they have. I sure hope they are not the all in donkey fests that the Hubble’s Freerolls have become.
One quick tip about earning FPPs/VPPs at Stars. Play fixed limit $1/2!!!!!!! I can not get deep into the math but at 1/2 you will clear FPPs/VPPs at about 90% the pace of 2/4 and 60% of 3/6. The math is in your favor to multi-table 1/2 and spread your risk-bankroll out rather than one table 2/4-3/6 and have variance kill you in one hand.
On another note last night I played in a 28 player freeroll on my regular site and finished 2nd. I would have won the thing but I ran out of time and had to go to work. I lost patience and starting big stack bullying trying to get it over with as quickly as possible. My opponent was a solid player and I did not have the time to see flops with him. He finally got mad and called with JT sooted and you know what happened………………………………..
